Павел Измалин родился в Брянске. До 2006 года работа в Москве. С 2006 года, более 15 лет, до 2022 года жил и работал в Германии.
В 2003 открыл студию в Москве SBF Moscow на оборудовании Sinar, Broncolor, Foba. Клиентами студии были популярные фотографы: Игорь Василиадис, Павел Самохвалов и другие. Журналы: L'Officiel, Esquire и другие.
Переехав в Германию открыл студию SBF / Wuppertal, Dusseldorf
